Bride.. Groom.. Flowers!
Picture a wedding and what comes to mind? A bride and groom, joyful faces all around.. and lots of flowers!
Every wedding will feature at least a bouquet for the bride and a boutonniere for the groom, and you can spot flowers in almost every wedding photo - adorning the people, the ceremony, the aisle, the tables, and everywhere else in between.
Yet wedding flowers can be incredibly expensive, and for good reason. Skilled florists go to unimaginable lengths to create the most stunning floral arrangements possible for weddings.
And wedding flowers aren’t just financially expensive; couples are increasingly concerned with the environmental impact of their big day. They don’t want their joyful celebrations to be filled with flowers treated with chemicals and flown in from distant locations. They want their wedding to be beautiful without imposing an unsustainable burden on the environment.
However, it is possible to do some of this work yourself, have some creative fun, and save yourself (and the planet!) a small fortune in the process…
British Wedding Flowers
Moorfield Farm Flowers is a family-run artisan flower farm specialising in growing and supplying seasonal, British cut flowers to the floral trade, and creating wedding flowers for happy couples all over the North West.
Sustainability is an important part of what we do. We grow everything organically from seed, avoiding all chemical pesticides and fertilisers, and single use plastics in the process.
This results in the most environmentally friendly flowers available in Manchester, and a rustic, natural and beautifully scented product that is impossible to achieve using imported flowers.
Take a look at how we can help make your special day that little bit more special, and save you time and money, with some of our different wedding services below.

Why choose our flowers?
Wedding Buckets
-
Our wedding buckets are an eclectic mix of all the best seasonal stems available. Each bucket is cut to order between 24 and 48 hours before your wedding day, giving the stems enough time to take up water so they stay looking great throughout your wedding day.
-
Each bucket will contain a complimentary mix of flowers, grasses, seed heads and foliage, all the ingredients to make your own arrangements.
-
Of course! We will always ask for direction on colour so that we supply flowers and foliage that match the palette for your big day.
-
This depends on the size of the arrangements you want to make. We’ll typically use 30-40 stems for a medium sized bridal bouquet, and 15 stems for a small jam jar arrangement for a table. Remember, it’s best to slightly over-order to account for any flowers that become damaged during arrangement.
-
Depending on location, we can arrange delivery either the day before or the day of your wedding, provided the order value is over £150.
DIY Weddings
-
You select a colour scheme and then pick a selection of floral elements for your wedding from our set designs. All these elements are picked and arranged by ourselves here at Moorfield Farm, and then boxed ready for collection or delivery on the morning of your wedding.
