Buying with us

We love working with florists of all sizes, from the odd weekly seasonal bucket for arrangements, right up to large bespoke wedding and installation orders.

We encourage florists to visit us before ordering to get an understanding of what and how we grow.

Every order is cut and conditioned the day before collection or delivery so we challenge you to find fresher flowers anywhere in the North West! We can also accommodate same-day orders although we recommend at least 24 hours notice for proper conditioning, and more for large orders to help us manage stock.

Why British?

  • Fresher, Cleaner, Better

We cultivate all our flowers outdoors, without relying on additional light or heat, selecting varieties that thrive in the unique growing conditions of the North-West of England. Harvested fresh from the flower plot for each and every order, we eschew the use of chemicals entirely. We take utmost care of our soil, nourishing the land, providing sustenance for bees and butterflies, and fostering thriving habitats for essential soil microbes and invertebrates, supporting the entire ecosystem that relies on them.

  • Eliminate Air Miles

Our locally grown flowers travel a small fraction of the distance covered by their imported counterparts. The term "Dutch flowers" is often used, but it's essential to note that while The Netherlands does cultivate flower crops, its flower auctions handle flowers sourced from various European countries and air-freighted from distant places like South America, Africa, and Asia. Presently, approximately 90% of the UK's cut flower market consists of imports which are harming our planet.

  • Character and Charm

Our selection of flowers isn't based on their ability to yield uniform blooms across vast fields. Instead, we opt to cultivate numerous varieties in small quantities because we believe they add a unique touch to arrangements and installations. Embracing their natural beauty, stems may display delightful wiggles and twists, while tendrils gracefully reach and sprawl. It is precisely this inherent charm that captivates us and prompts us to grow flowers that fill you with youthful wonder and excitement.

When you choose to buy from Moorfield Farm Flowers, you're not only contributing to the well-being of your local ecology but also bolstering your community's economy.
